I’m John P. Jones, the proud owner of Windy City Tax Relief. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

Growing up, the idea of helping people with their tax problems always intrigued me. I prepared my returns as a teenager, and from observing family and friends, I quickly realized the essential nature of the field. I also saw that taxes required quite a bit of knowledge and sophistication and concluded the line was perfect for me.

In the ’80s, I began my career with Coopers & Lybrand and then went to work for a couple of local firms before establishing my firm in 2002 and Windy City Tax Relief in 2011.

In the years I have been in business, the two major trends have been technological advancement and additional specialization. Nowadays, pretty much everything is online, and our focus is narrower, and thus, our services are more affordable.

My ability to make a difference and be a source of positive change is probably my favorite part of my job. I also enjoy expanding my skill base and working with multiple partners, so we come up with the right solution no matter your issue. My business philosophy is based on delivering efficient, high-quality service at an affordable price.

As an individual, I believe what sets me apart is that I try to run my practice by underpromising and overperforming.

I attribute my success to my team’s commitment to communication and quality service.

Taking care of hundreds of clients regularly has given me immense satisfaction over the years. We are able to reach a settlement with the IRS, which the client can afford, and quickly resolve the issue.

When I am not at work, I am particularly involved in my community’s economic and cultural development. I am both a board member and officer of the Six Corners Association in Chicago, a neighborhood currently undergoing extensive investment and renovation. It has been a lot of fun being a part of that success.
